Introduction

SGCCI with more than 70 years of dedicated services to the Trade and Industry is one of the oldest Trade Organisations in the Country having strength of about 55000 members including membership from Corporates, Industrialists and 92 Trade Associations.

SGCCI has consistently grown into a professionally managed organization with total commitment to issues concerning the development of Trade and Commerce and providing appropriate platform and right opportunities across accross the country to potential investors in the Southern Gujarat Region.

To keep pace with the changing economic scenario and to provide a platform to promote "BRAND SURAT", SGCCI has mastered the art of organizing industry specfic mega exhibitions. To make these exhibitions of international standards, SGCCI has ventured into building a world class Exhibition and Convention Centre having a pillar less air-conditioned dome of 1,16,000 sq.ft. spread over 13 hectors.

Over a period of 5 decades of transition, growth and development, NSIC has proved its strength within the country and abroad by promoting New and Small Business and assisting the existing MSME units through its schemes of assistance of Financing, Marketing Raw Material distribution and Technology support program, strengthening linkages with large ans medium enterprises and enhancing exports and projects and products from MSMEs.
